Jan, a Ph.D. 材料科学专业候选人，在冶金学院任教 & Materials Engineering department. 她教授过程仪表和控制，火法冶金 & thermal processing, metallurgical & materials engineering safety & health, metallurgical and materials thermodynamics, particulate systems processing laboratory, and mineral processing laboratory. 她的行业经验包括在温斯顿西部能源公司担任冶金工程师, Montana, 在Butte的蒙大拿州矿业和地质局担任国家煤炭资源数据系统(NCRDS)的主要调查员和矿产资源工程师, Montana.  Jan管理着CAMP的陆军研究实验室(ARL)资助的研究数据库, 而且得益于她在多个研究领域的行业经验和知识, 她是CAMP关于分析仪器相关问题的重要资源之一, 以及矿物冶金加工设备和试验方法.
